CSC Youth House Gardens

The Youth House garden is a program of Community Services Consortium. The CSC workforce and education program provides job skills and education to young people who are in need of support and employment training. The Youth Garden program employs 4 youth per season (generally more in the summer) to be responsible for our 40 raised beds and to gain horticultural know-how during the crew.

The CSC Youth Garden produces veggies, fruits, flowers and herbs year round. The crew runs a stand at the fall, winter, summer, and spring farmers' markets, and also donates produce to Gleaners and Linn Benton Food Share. The garden crew does not use chemicals or artificial fertilizers, and instead utilizes companion and ally planting for natural weed and pest control. The garden is in downtown Corvallis, next to a popular coffee shop called the Beanery - the land the garden is on was donated by Allann Bros. Coffee in 2009, when the garden project began.
