Homewood Heights Community Garden

We are a community garden that was founded on the idea of changing a neglected, barren, trash-filled East Austin lot. The garden has been transformed through many hours of "neighbor-labor" and has become a garden that feeds our community as well as a place to put food on our tables. We meet on the 1st Saturday of each month for a work day. For our summer garden, we will be transforming to a community farm, planting entire rows of one crop in an effort to increase yield and participation.
