We are a community garden using organic practices in a low income, high crime public housing complex. We are committed to being a force of positive change in our in community by the growing of healthy fruits and vegetables,as well as bringing economic development through marketing our produce and herbs.
We are truly grass roots, starting off our project with nothing more that a vision and no capital. Through partnerships with Heifer International and the Center for Participatory Change we have grown by leaps and bounds. The Housing Authority of the City of Asheville has also been very supportive as well.
We hope to improve our community by "Becoming the change we wish to see in the world"
